Think about how many telephone calls you receive in a day, how many emails you respond to or simply delete, and how much junk snail mail you receive. Now try to remember a single one of those from more than a week ago. Any luck? For most the answer is likely no. However, can you remember the last hand written note you received? For this, the answer is likely yes if you have every received one.
While this used to be standard communication “technology” not long ago, many people have forgotten the impact a hand written note have. As someone who has awful handwriting I know how challenging it can be to send these but the results are well worth it. Try sending notes after a meeting, as a thank you for someone’s business, and just to stay in touch with your clients and prospects. You may be surprised at the impact this can have on the strength of your business relationships.
